Out of curiosity, are there any patterns to these thieves? It seems
to me we hear about cars and trailers, and sometimes even tow rigs
being stolen a couple of times a year.

Are there any "best practices" that can help prevent stolen equipment
whether it be at home, in storage, on the road, or at the track? It
seems there are some pretty smart thieves out there. I think there
is a spin on this stuff, I'm guessing they do 1 of 2 things. 1,
they steal everything, repaint the car and run it, or sell it as a
complete car but with a different paint scheme. 2, they bring it to a
chop shop, and rip off the good stuff, e.g.. racing engines,
transmissions, rear ends, etc and sell these components on the open
market over time.
